Adjusting your Rotor Sprinkler

Each rotor arrives with a pre-set 40° arc setting preinstalled with a 1.5 nozzle plus 5 interchangeable nozzles. This flexibility allows complete customisation of flow range (180 – 750 L/h), radius (5.5 – 11 metres), sprinkler spacing (5.2 – 10.4 metres), arc adjustment (40° - 360°) and precipitation rate (6.6 – 15.24 mm/h) – Ideal when creating a completely flexible pop up system tailored to your garden’s consumption requirements. Check the performance data to allocate a nozzle for the required rate of flow and throw distance, adjust the radius using the radius screw located on the top turret and alter the arc by simply twisting the ratcheting riser from the left starting position clockwise to increase the arc or anti-clockwise to decrease.

Zoning a Garden Sprinkler System

Before installing an underground system, calculate the available water and bar pressure from your water source. Top Tip: Use the calculation below to calculate flow rate or attach a Pressure Gauge to your tap. Take the output from each nozzle in litres per minute or litres per hour and multiply by how many sprinklers you intend to run in that sprinkler zone. This tells you how many rotors can be run in a single length. Depending on sprinkler output and flow rate usually, a maximum of up to three rotors should be installed in a single zone.

The built-in continuous reverse and return functionality ensure constant reliable rotation of the internal riser and the top arc allows complete control over garden watering for wet or dry adjustment amendable in all stages of installation. For ever-changing watering requirements, the stainless steel adjustment radius screw will stand the test of time even after multiple adjustments and the rubber turret cover seals out dirt for increased product durability. The sprinkler also features easy clean mechanisms that can be extracted and cleaned during system maintenance.

HydroSure LDPE Pipe - 14mm x 50m

A length of irrigation pipe ideal for small sub-surface landscape irrigation systems. The 1.2mm wall thickness and smooth internal bore work together to reduce pressure loss and friction for maximum water flow allowing sprinkler nozzles to function optimally.

HydroSure Dual Outlet Water Timer

Automate your underground sprinkler system choosing the run time between 1 to 240 minutes and watering frequency from 4, 6 or 12 hours or 1 – 15 days. The dual outlets function independently for simple system zoning if the flow rate from your sprinklers exceeds the available water from the tap. Top Tip: For ultimate water-saving efficiency, the timer is compatible with the HydroSure Rain Sensor (not included). Simply plug the auxiliary cable from the water sensor into this port. This sends communications to the timer to skip watering on rainy days or when the soil is too wet.

2 x HydroSure Barbed Tap Connecter - 3/4" BSP Female x 14mm

Connect LDPE pipe to the tap for a simple yet reliable way to supply water to your underground irrigation system. The kit arrives with two tap connectors one for each zone that can be installed to each male thread on your tap timer.

5 x HydroSure Elbow Connector - 13mm x 1/2" BSP Male

The male threaded outlet ensures a watertight fit with the female thread of the spray body and the ergonomically shaped barbed inlet anchors the LDPE pipe in place. Ideal for installing a pop-up spray body at the end of a length of pipe or in the centre of a garden bed.

10 x HydroSure Tee Adaptor -13mm x 1/2" BSP Male

Designed to be installed in an upright position to take pop-up spray bodies to their sub-surface position. Install the barbed inlets to the LDPE for sprinkler installation along the lateral pipe.

HydroSure Essential 14mm Double Barbed Fittings Pack – Medium

Use to divert LDPE pipe in different directions, navigate around corners, join lengths of pipe and cap off any open ends to maintain pressure within the system. Features 4 x Joiners, 12 x Elbows, 6 x End Pieces and 10 x Tee Connectors. The 14mm tapered barb locks into 13mm LDPE pipe for a reliable watertight connection and minimal risk of pipe dislocation.

40 x HydroSure Ratchet Clamp

For a watertight join at every barbed connection point, install a ratchet clamp to minimise pipe blow off under high pressures. Top Tip: During installation check every connection point to ensure ratchet clamps are securing pipe in place before burying the system underground.

2 x HydroSure Flushing Valve Indented

Flushes and drains water from the pipe preventing excess water from freezing during colder winter months and damaging the system. Install at the lowest point of the system at the end of a run of pipe. Top Tip: For easy accessibility during system maintenance, install the drain valve within a Valve Box.

PTFE Thread Seal Tape - 12 Metres

Use for all male threads and wrap two layers of PTFE tape around the thread wound in a clockwise direction.

HydroSure K-Key Adjustment Key

A handy tool used to remove and re-install nozzles or set the arc adjustment. This key can also be used to retrieve the riser for maintenance or when orientating the start position on the rotor removing the risk of unwanted access for enhanced protection against tampering or vandalism.
