A self-priming pump with an excellent suction capacity of up to 9 metres. The operation range outputs up to an impressive 60 litres per minute with a head of up to 47 metres! A water pump ideal for garden irrigation and sprinkler systems.

For useful product information, maintenance & installation read the Instruction Manual.

Applications
A centrifugal self-priming pump with excellent suction capacity even in the presence of air bubbles. Ideal for domestic applications when pumping water with low levels of sandy impurities. Suitable for small farms, garden irrigation, small-scale industrial services and where self-priming is necessary.

Pump Construction
The pump body is professionally engineered using a stainless steel pump body whilst the motor support is produced using die-cast aluminium. The technopolymer impeller, diffuser, venturi tube and sand guard ensure long-lasting performance whilst the stainless steel smoothing rings and carbon/ceramic mechanical seal promises ultimate performance capabilities.

Motor Construction Features
Asynchronous motor, closed, air-cooled.
Motor shaft in AISI 416 stainless steel mounted on greased-for-life ball bearings to guarantee low noise and long life.
A motor circuit breaker and capacitor are incorporated in the single-phase version.
Construction according to CEI 2-3 and CEI 61-69 (EN 60335-2-41).

Starting Up The Pump
Do Not start the pump without having completely filled it with liquid. Dry operation causes irreparable damage to the mechanical seal.
Before starting the pump, ensure the pump is properly primed. To do this, fill the pump completely with clean water by removing the filler cap on the pump body and replacing it carefully after filling. This ensures that the mechanical seal is well lubricated and that the pump immediately starts to work regularly.
Please Note: The pump should not be started more than 20 times in one hour so as not to subject the motor to excessive thermal shock.

Disclaimer: We recommend that a trained professional should wire this product before usage. Please Note: The pump must be stored & installed indoors.

Troubleshooting The Jet Pump Range

  • The motor does not start and makes no noise

    1. Check the electrical connections.

    2. Ensure the motor is live.

    3. Make sure the protection fuses are not burnt out. Replace the components and ensure the fault is not repeating immediately. If this is the case, the motor is short-circuiting.

  • The motor does not start but makes a noise

    1. Ensure the mains voltage is the same as the value on the plate.

    2. Ensure the connections have been made correctly and correct any errors.

    3. Check that all three phases are present on the terminal board and if not, restore the missing phase (If using a 3-phase pump).

    4. Look for possible blockages in the pump or motor and remove the blockages if necessary.

    5. Check the condition of the capacitor and replace if required.

  • The motor turns with difficulty

    1. Check the voltage is sufficient and whether any moving parts are scraping against fixed parts and eliminate the cause of the scraping.

  • The pump does not deliver

    1. Look to see if the pump has been primed correctly.

    2. On the three-phase motors only, check the direction of rotation is correct and if necessary, invert the connection of the two supply wires.

    3. Check that the diameter of the intake pipe is sufficient and replace the pipe with a larger diameter.

    4. Ensure the foot valve is not blocked and if necessary, clean the foot valve.

  • The pump does not prime

    1. Check the intake pipe or foot valve is taking in air and eliminate the problem and prime the pump again.

    2. Ensure the downward slope of the intake pipe favours the formation of air pockets and if so, correct the inclination of the intake pipe.

  • The pump supplies insufficient flow

    1. Check if the foot valve is blocked and clean if necessary.

    2. Ensure the impeller is not worn or blocked. Remove any obstructions or replace the worn parts.

    3. Check the diameter of the intake pipe is sufficient and replace it with a larger pipe diameter if required.

    4. On three-phase motors only, check the direction of the rotation is correct and invert the connection of the two supply wires if necessary.

  • The pump vibrates and operates noisily

    1. Check the pump and pipes are firmly anchored into place and secure any loose parts.

    2. Look for cavitation in the pump or that is the water demand is higher than the unit can pump. To resolve, reduce the intake height or check for load losses.

    3. Ensure the pump is running above its plate characteristics. It may be useful to limit the flow at delivery.
